Youth wrestling registration tonight

Boys and girls ages 5-15 are invited to join the Pendleton Wrestling Club during open registration Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, 5:45-7:45 p.m., in Pendleton High School's Schimmel Wrestling Building (behind Warberg Court). Come join a safe, fun practice facility where kids of all ages and experience levels receive quality coaching. Download the registration packet below or pick one up at Dean's Athletic. Beginning and intermediate wrestlers will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45-6:45 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010. Advanced wrestlers will practice Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:45-7:45 p.m., beginning tonight. Cost is $30 which includes a T-shirt. Boys and girls ages 5-15 are invited to join the Pendleton Wrestling Club during open registration Tuesday, November 10, 2009, 5:45-7:00 p.m., in Pendleton High School's Schimmel Wrestling Building (behind Warberg Court). The club will participate in tournaments starting in November and continuing through March 2010. Cost is $40 for a USAW wrestling insurance card. Wrestlers bring back medals

The Pendleton Wrestling Club sent twelve wrestlers to the Oregon Wrestling Classic in Redmond, January 10-11, 2009, and five returned home with medals:
Ammarae Broncheau - 1st in the novice girls division, 65 lbs.
Caleb Tremper - 1st in bantam division, 40 lbs.
Alex Rendon - 2nd in intermediate division, 50lbs.
Hunter Brewer - 2nd in intermediate division, 87lbs.
Tanner Yeager - 2nd in novice division, 105 lbs.

The Oregon Wrestling Classic is one of the largest wrestling events in the nation, including divisions for children as young as five through high school ages, plus open divisions for college students and women.

Wrestlers earn trip to Classic

Eleven Pendleton wrestlers placed in the top three spots for their weight class during the Hermiston Classic Qualifier Saturday, December 27, 2008. By finishing that high, they've earned a trip to the Oregon Wrestling Classic in Redmond, January 10-11, 2009. The Oregon Wrestling Classic is one of the largest wrestling events in the nation, including divisions for children as young as five through high school ages, plus open divisions for college students and women.

Time to hit the mats

The Pendleton Wrestling Club started their 2008-2009 season with practices this week. Over 70 children from ages 5-14 signed up to improve their grappling skills this year. Their first tournament will be Saturday, November 15, 2008 in Boardman, OR and their only home match will be Saturday, January 3, 2009.
